Coasteering

Coasteering is closed as there were rockfalls that reached the coast and access track during June 13 2011 earthquake.

We will not be resuming coasteering until at least Feb 2012. And then only if the risk of further significant aftershocks is deemed low.

Coasteering is like mountaineering along the coastline. It's fun, challenging and very memorable.

There are many variations to our coasteering experience. Our short trip passes jumps, rock climbs and swims in rapid succession. With names like: test jump, big jump, cheese-grater wall, whoo-ha rock, the one move wonder and belly-flop rock all blending into one great adventure. We can do up to 6 short trips (84 people)in a day if needed.

If time allows the trip can be extended to give a longer experience.

For an adventurous start to your coasteering experience; take the short cut by abseiling down a cliff then crawl through Smuggler's Cave. This will make a full day activity for no more than 14 people.

Suitable for age 10 upward (this activity is dependent on weather and sea conditions)
